This is done with precise measurements of components and being aware of grades, overhead objects, lane use clearances, overpasses that require ramping and any other obstacle that could potentially be unsafe or slow the transportation process. Communication between the operations manager, driver and the Customer is also key when planning to transport wind tower components, making any adjustments to planned routes.
Heavy Haul / Oversize Load Permits – Black Gold Energy Service works quickly and efficiently to ensure permits for heavy haul and oversized loads are rapidly calculated and in-hand for the fastest & safest delivery possible, even on emergency or rush deliveries.
Wind Energy Component Drivers are carefully selected with very strict requirements such as experience, training, a clean driving record, excellent references, communication skills and the ability to handle each piece of equipment.
Black Gold Energy Service Drivers are experienced, knowledgeable personnel that plan carefully and measure all aspects of the job and route before departing, to ensure your delivery is on time, every time. Drivers are carefully trained in managing all paperwork, ensuring your load has the proper documentation. Drivers are required to use proper PPE and follow ALL CUSTOMER & COMPANY RULES at all times.
Drivers are required to follow DOT standards and have necessary training and experience hauling wind energy components. All drivers must have a professional, stable, working relationship with all customers and vendors. Trip safety meetings are conducted for each and every load along with inspections of the equipment being hauled at time of departure and arrival. Pre-Trip inspections of the truck / trailer / equipment used is performed before departure.
